Nashville, TN Travel Guide

Nashville is one of our favorite trips to date. This place packs a punch, whether you’re a country music fan or not (we are not) you’ll still feel right at home. Get your boots on and get ready for some fun.

WHERE TO STAY

We stayed at Stay Alfred, Studio apartments turned into Airbnb’s and it was perfect. Prime location and everything we needed

The Hutton Hotel located in the West end neighborhood and just steps from the heart of Music Row, also its pet friendly!

On the pricey side The Hermitage Hotel is STUNNING. 5 star hotel built in 1908, This beauty packs a lot of history, definitely worth putting on your list even if its just to stop in for a drink at the Oak bar.

THINGS TO DO

Johnny Cash Museum for all my music buffs, this museum was so fun and very highly rated! Perfect to hit up after lunch and take as much or as little time as you want.

Third Man Records, was a must see for the hubs. If you’re a White Stripes fan or a fan of anything that Jack White has touched, this is a spot for you. Highly recommend taking a tour, it’s an exclusive and intimate 30 minutes to an hour experience. Tickets are available first come first served on the day of the tour. They also have a record store and fun novelty items.

And of course the must see spot is BROADWAY ST. (also known as Honky Tonk row). This place is wild, party central for sure! Some of our favorite spots are Paradise Park Trailer Resort, Redneck Riviera, Bootleggers Inn, and lastly (this joint is not located on Broadway) but it is by far our favorite Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar (no, we’re not in New Orleans but it felt like we were)! Live music, bayou cocktails with a Nashville flair. THIS IS A MUST VISIT.

WHERE TO EAT

It’s hard to decide what restaurants were my favorite because everywhere we ate was outstanding! If I had to pick, my favorite spots would be The Marsh House & Black Rabbit

The Marsh House is a southern upscale seafood restaurant. They have these oysters that come with Champagne compressed cucumbers, caviar and a cheese of some sort… They were eight bucks a piece and oh SO WORTH IT. Live a little. You’re on vacation! Oh and they have Chambongs, so ya!

If you’re craving sushi, Virago is the best spot in town. A little insider knowledge, it’s frequented by Ray Luzier (drummer from KoRn), him and his Wife live in Nashville! You’ll learn the more you follow me we will always hit up a sushi joint on vacation! Duh…

Another awesome spot we just stumbled upon was Etch. Eclectic upscale dining and the food was nothing short of spectacular. Try the roasted cauliflower! It was amazing.

WHERE TO DRINK AND EAT

It’s cocktail time!! We are suckers for a great cocktail, and Nashville has some great joints for just that! First up, Skull’s Rainbow Room. This place is world famous, you absolutely have to check it out and read up on its history. Great food, great cocktails, and live music.

Next Black Rabbit this place was AWESOME, so good we went twice. (we do this a lot if a place is that worthy) Located in Printer’s Alley this speakeasy cocktail bar hosts some incredible small bites (potato tacos were to die) and handcrafted cocktails. First time there the bartender told us they do a burlesque show, naturally we had to come back. The show was amazing, truly talented ladies.

Pinewood Social is a beautiful quirky bar with a bowling alley. Blown away by the cocktails and the food, great spot to cool off and roll a few (bowling)

Lastly, The Diner this place is 6 floors of food, booze, and views. Breakfast on the first floor, lavazza coffee, and scrumptious pastries. Sixth floor stunning views of Nashville and seafood, seafood, seafood.

Hope you enjoyed our Nashville trip, drop me a comment if you check any of these spots out!

xo, Kristin
